Eurong Beach Resort, located north of the Sunshine Coast, has the absolute beachfront position on Fraser Island’s famous Seventy-Five Mile Beach, its lakes and rainforests. This makes the resort the perfect base for four-wheel driving adventures, fishing weekends and exploring the island.

The resort has a range of accommodation to suit all budgets for couples, families and groups; from motel rooms to modern two-bedroom self-contained apartments with spacious living areas and fully equipped kitchens can accommodate up to six people.

The resort has a modern restaurant and bar overlook a large free-form swimming pool. A casual Beach Bar adjoins a second pool and has nightly entertainment. Barbecues, tennis, joy flights, four wheel drive hire and conducted four wheel drive tours and bush walks are all on offer.

Access is easy with vehicle barges operating daily from River Heads, south of Hervey Bay, to Wanggoolba Creek. From the Sunshine Coast via Rainbow Beach, the Rainbow Venture barge is on demand between Inskip Point and Hook Point between 7.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. and bookings are not required.

Eurong Beach Resort conference centre seats 200 and is equipped with a stage, overhead projector, laser pointers, three overhead televisions, a video recorder, a public address system with remote microphones, whiteboards and a lectern.

When the work is done, take the team driving along a beach that stretches to the horizon, swimming in clear, freshwater lakes ringed by white sandy beaches, walking in ancient rainforests and climbing mighty sand blows.

Getting There

Eurong Beach Resort is ONLY accessible by 4 Wheel Drive (4WD) vehicles . 4WD vehicle hire is available at selected locations.

A vehicle barge departs daily from River Heads south of Hervey Bay to Wangoolba Creek and from Inskip Point (near rainbow beach via Gympie) to Hook Point (southern point of Fraser Island)

Vehicle barge Timetable ex River Heads, Hervey Bay (approximately 30 mintues trip each way):
Ex River Heads: 8.30am, 10.15am, 3.30pm
Ex Wangoolba Creek: 9.30am, 2.30pm, 4.00pm

Vehicle barge Timetable ex Inskip Point (near rainbow beach via Gympie (approximately 5-15 mintues trip each way):

Ex Inskip Point: Runs continuously from 7.00 am -5.00pm
Ex Hook Point: Runs continuously from 7.00 am – 5.00pm

Vehicle barge and passenger transfers charges are not included in the motel /apartment rates unless otherwise stated. National Parks driving permits also required.

Virgin Blue, Jetstar and Qantas Airlines run daily direct flights to the Fraser Coast/Hervey Bay from Brisbane and Sydney with connections to all other ports as well as daily coach and train transfers from Brisbane.
