Frasers @ Cathedral Beach is the ideal location from which to base your holiday on beautiful World Heritage Listed Fraser Island. Situated on the eastern beach, close to major beauty spots such as the Coloured Sands.

As Fraser Island’s only ‘Private Campground’, Frasers at Cathedral Beach offers a lush and quiet setting situated on 25 acres featuring convenience store, 24 hour power, camp kitchen and picnic areas.

Guests may choose from a variety of accommodation including self contained two & three bedroom cabins or spacious level campsites. Note: This property does have some room types that do not have private ensuites or bathrooms, as indicated in the room type descriptions. Communal/shared amenities are available.

Our convenience store is your point of checkin. Upon check-in, a deposit of $25.00 is required for keys & vehicle entry tag, which is refunded on check out.

Getting There

Fraser Island is a National Park, therefore a Vehicle Permit is required (phone QPWS on 13 1304) to be on the Island. Driving is entirely on sand, therefore it is a must that your vehicle is four Wheel Drive.

Barges depart from Inskip Point via Rainbow Beach, arrival onto the Island is at Hook Point which is best done at low tide. Barges also depart from Hervey Bay (from Marina & also River Heads). Barges are an extra charge and bookings are required.

Frasers at Cathedral Beach is located on the Eastern Beach, 10 Kilometres north of Eli Creek

Parking

Car Parking is accessible only by guests staying within the Park grounds, a deposit is payable for accommodation keys & Vehicle entry tags, which is refunded upon checkout.

Things To Do

Visits to many of the Lakes (Lake Mackenzie & Birrabeen) Knifeblade lookout and Lake Alom (home of the long-neck turtles)
