Located half way along the eastern side of the island, perched on top of Yidney Rocks at the water edge are our beachfront apartments. A perfect setting to relax watching the sun set with a glass of wine. Enjoy the sounds of the ocean to sleep by and fish at your front door. Watch the whales go by during the whale season (July to Oct.)

We are centrally located to all the island’s attractions for day trips and adventures.

The well appointed apartments (sleeping 8 ) with your own private verandah and BBQ facing the ocean are ideally suited to accommodate families and the serious fisherman.

Consisting of 3 bedrooms (2 with ocean views), 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen and living area. TV and DVD, microwave, gas appliances, fridge and box freezer. All linen and bath mats are supplied. Your cars are parked at your back door for easy access (no carrying suitcases and boxes down pathways or steps)

Getting There

From Rainbow Beach

Turn off the Bruce Highway at Gympie onto the Tin Can Bay Road and follow the signs to Rainbow Beach. (Approx. 60 min traveling) The ranger station is located on your right just before you enter the business centre, where you can pick up your permit for Fraser Island. This can also be purchased on line at www.epa.qld.gov.au or book by phone on 13 13 04 (24 hrs). Turn into Inskip Point Road follow the signs to the barges.

The Manta Ray Barges (Green and Yellow) run every 30 min. or on demand every day from dawn to dusk. (No bookings required)

A discount of $10.00 will be offered off your accommodation upon presentation of your Mantaray Barges ticket.

Return tickets are

• Per vehicle including occupants – $85.00
• Per truck – $150.00
• Boats, campers and trailers – $55.00

The duration of the trip across the bay is only 10-15 minutes where you will embark at Hook Point turning right. Follow the beach for approx. 62 km. to Yidney Rocks where you drive up the by-pass ramp to the back of the apartments.

From Hervey Bay

Barges leave from Riverheads and Urangan boat harbour. Bookings required. Tel. 1800 249 122. A permit is required for Fraser Island. This can be purchased on-line at www.epa.qld.gov.au or book by phone on 13 13 04 (24 hrs).

Once embarked onto the island follow the signs to Eurong onto the beach. (approx. 1 hr) Turn left and follow the beach for approx 23 km. to Yidney Rocks where you drive up the by-pass ramp to the back of the apartments.
